ILOILO – Police arrested a 33-year-old drug suspect in possession of approximately P340,000 worth of suspected shabu in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Leganes town around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29.
Alias “Stephen”, a resident of Imperial V Subdivision, Barangay Guzman-Jesena, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, yielded nine plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 50 grams.
According to the Leganes Municipal Police Station’s (MPS) Drug Enforcement Team, the suspect was previously jailed in 2018 for illegal drug charges.
The suspect is currently detained at the Leganes MPS. He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
