ROXAS City – At least 51 grams of suspected shabu in 12 plastic sachets were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Banica here around 9:50 a.m. yesterday.
The confiscations had an estimated market value of P346,800.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Capiz and Roxas City Police Station that carried out the operation identified the subject of the operation as Cyrus Adonis, 39, of Barangay Banica.
Other items recovered were two lighters, a black Nokia cellphone, an improvised glass tooter, two pairs of scissors, several small empty plastic sachets, a portable gas stove case and P15,000 cash.
Adonis was taken to the Roxas City police station.
The police were preparing charges against the suspect for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operatives of PDEU-Capiz were led by Police Major Francisco Paguia.
On the other hand, Police Captain Cyril Punzalan under the direct supervision of Roxas City police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Jomuad Jr. spearheaded the city police team./PN
