BACOLOD City – Five sachets of suspected shabu valued around P168,000 were seized in a sting operation in Barangay Binicuil, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The 38-year-old Jeoffrey Quirogo, 50-year-old Myrna Sanchez, 43-year-old Edcel Salgado, and 48-year-old Carlito Nueva Espaňa Jr. yielded the suspected illegal drugs, a police report showed.
The suspects were nabbed after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, the report added.
Aside from suspected illegal drugs, a total of P12,780 cash and three cellphones were also recovered from them, police said. Quirogo’s car was impounded, too.
They were detained in lockup facility of the Kabankalan City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
