BACOLOD City – An estimated P260,000 worth of supplies were stolen from the compound of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines in Barangay Jonob-jonob, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
NGCP personnel reported to the city’s station the loss of assorted bolts and nuts, among others, on June 13.
Initial investigation showed the thieves passing through the barb wires of the perimeter fence.
A witness told the police that while he was watching over his carabao beside their house, he saw three men in black jackets and bonnets crawling inside a nearby sugarcane plantation .
After several minutes, he saw a tricycle approaching then stopped, and the three men boarded it.
The witness said he thought the men were barangay tanods roving./PN
