BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu with an estimated value of P84,000 was recovered from a man in drug buy-bust operation in Barangay 3, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the man as the 59-year-old resident Szaldy Gayatina.
Gayatina – a high-value drug target – was caught after selling suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P500 on Tuesday, a police report showed.
Recovered from Gayatina’s possession were a total of seven grams of suspected shabu contained in several sachets.
Gayatina was detained at the Hinigaran municipal station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Officers from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office and the Hinigaran municipal police station staged the sting operation./PN
