BACOLOD City – A Father’s Day on Sunday, June 16, turned tragic after a 35-year-old father died on the spot while his two young children were injured after their motorcycle figured in an accident in Sitio Camp Valdez, Barangay Mambaroto, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
Sipalay police identified the fatality as Elecio Motejo, a resident of the city. He succumbed to fatal head injuries.
The victim’s two minor children sustained injuries on the different parts of their bodies. They were recuperating at a hospital in this city.
According to the Sipalay City Police Station, Motejo with his two children as backriders were on their way to the city proper when a private car suddenly overtook them.
Police said Motejo lost control of the motorcycle and they fell into a canal./PN
