Palace: Public sees ‘good work’ as PBBM trust rating climbs

MANILA – Malacañang hailed the 10-point jump in President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s trust rating, calling it a sign that Filipinos are beginning to recognize the administration’s accomplishments despite intense criticism from detractors.

The Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, commissioned by think tank Stratbase, showed that Marcos’ trust rating rose from 38% in May to 48% in June.

The nationwide poll, conducted among 1,200 adult respondents, also found that 30% expressed little trust in the President, while 21% were undecided. The survey used a five-point trust scale and carries a ±3% margin of error.

According to Palace press officer Undersecretary Claire Castro, the latest numbers reflect public appreciation of the President’s initiatives, even amid what she described as “relentless political attacks” from critics.

She added that more Filipinos are now noticing the administration’s efforts to uplift lives and improve governance.
