ILOILO – A shattered windshield and several belongings missing.

This was how “Toto,” the owner of a sports utility vehicle, found his car after parking it by the plaza.

According to him, three other cars were parked when he left around 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 21 to watch a presentation during the Saad Festival celebration.

He claimed the place was well-lit and bustling with people, so he felt comfortable leaving his car unattended.

After watching the presentation for about two hours, he returned to his vehicle, only to discover the theft.

Additionally, his sling bag containing a card holder, wallet with cash, and some food items placed on the backseat were missing.

Upon inspecting the surrounding vehicles, Toto found that the windshields of the other three parked cars had also been broken.

“Toto” suspects that the burglars used a hammer to break the windshields.

Assuring swift action, the Leganes police launched an investigation into the incident after it was reported.

For his part, the victim reminded the public to remain vigilant and cautious in similar situations./PN
