ILOILO City – Pavia, Iloilo appears to have become a favorite dumping ground of victims of summary execution.

Three bodies have now been discovered in the town, 9.6 kilometers from this city.

The latest was found on Tuesday morning in Barangay Balabag.

On July 21, a human skeleton was found in a grassy area of Barangay Purok 1. Police said the person had been dead for more than a month.

The second cadaver, found on Sunday, Sept. 14 in Barangay Pandac, had gunshot wounds on his head and chest, and remained unidentified as of this writing.

Pavia police chief, Senior Inspector Dante Dumaguing said the third cadaver had gunshot wounds in his head and chest.

He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt and a pair of dark blue shorts, and between 18 to 20 years old.

As of this writing, he remained unidentified.

Dumanging believes the man was killed in the area where his cadaver was found because of the traces of bloodstains near his body.

Minutes before his body was found, two successive gunshots were heard, residents said. A taxi was seen leaving the crime scene.

An empty shell of a caliber .9mm pistol was recovered in the area together with the victim’s wallet which had no identification card./PN
