BACOLOD City – The Philippine National Police (PNP) is hiring Police Officers 1.
Online screening starts April 3, according to Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, spokesperson for the Police Regional Office 18 (PRO-18).
In the PO1 Recruitment Program this year, the PNP will hire 10,000 under “regular recruitment.”
Of the number, 8,700 positions were allocated for Public Safety Forces, while the remaining 1,300 were for other units, a PNP memo stated.
Under “attrition recruitment,” the PNP will hire 4,484 PO1s to be distributed to different recruiting units.
Allotted for the Negros Island Region police office were 850 rookie positions.
The PNP ordered recruitment units to strictly implement the Online Recruitment Application System and give priority to “all excess qualified applicants during the CY (Calendar Year) 2016 PO1 Recruitment Program.”
Successful candidates will take their oath on July 1 for those hired under regular recruitment and Nov. 16 for those hired under attrition recruitment./PN
