ILOILO City – Police have arrested a man identified as the No. 1 most wanted person in Pototan, Iloilo.
Nicasio Pendon has been charged with “rape by carnal knowledge” and sexual abuse in relation to Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Pendon, 57, is a resident of Barangay Malusgod, Pototan.
Pototan officers led by Senior Inspector Bonifacio Alabe Jr. served the suspect a warrant of arrest at around 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 17 in Barangay Lu-ag, Dueñas town.
The court did not grant the suspect a bail bond for the rape charge.
On the other hand, the bail bond for the sexual abuse charge was set at P200,000. (Panay Balita/PN)
