MANILA – Rodrigo Duterte failed to cast his vote during the barangay elections on Monday in Davao City, according to the special assistant to the President.
Duterte was supposed to cast his vote at a polling precinct in Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School in Barangay Matina, said Christopher “Bong” Go.
But his polling precinct closed at around 3:05 p.m., according to a member of the Board of Election Inspectors, Go said.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio voted at the same school between 9:40 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.
Meanwhile Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque voted in Barangay White Plains, Quezon City at 11:30 a.m.
Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar voted as well at the Pedro E. Diaz High School in Barangay Alabang, Muntinlupa City at 12:45 p.m.
On Monday evening Duterte swore in Bernadette Romulo Puyat as the new secretary of the Department of Tourism in Malacañang./PN
