ILOILO City – A total of 137 wanted individuals, including 34 most wanted persons (MWPs), were apprehended across Western Visayas during a 15-day manhunt operation conducted by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) from June 1 to 15, 2025.
The intensified regionwide campaign, which involved coordinated efforts from various provincial and city police offices, resulted in the arrest of 34 MWPs and 103 other wanted persons (OWPs).
Leading the campaign was the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), which recorded the highest number of arrests at 71, accounting for 51.82% of the total apprehensions.
Moreover, the IPPO led the arrest of most wanted persons with 18 apprehensions, followed by the Aklan Police Provincial Office with seven, the Iloilo City Police Office with five, the Antique PPO with two, and both the Capiz PPO and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group–Regional Field Unit 6 (CIDG-RFU 6) with one each.
For other wanted persons, IPPO again topped the list with 53 arrests, followed by Antique PPO with 20, Capiz PPO with 10, Aklan PPO with nine, Iloilo City Police Office with seven, and the Guimaras PPO with four.
PRO-6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky lauded the relentless efforts of the tracker teams involved in the operation.
“These accomplishments reflect the dedication and unwavering commitment of our personnel in bringing fugitives to the court of law,” said Wanky. “We also recognize the active participation of the community in providing crucial information that led to the arrest of these individuals.”
All arrested individuals have since been turned over to their respective courts of jurisdiction for appropriate legal proceedings./PN
