PRO-6 nets 13 suspects, P2-M illegal drugs in a day

ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) arrested a total of 13 drug suspects and seized P2 million worth of illegal drugs in 24-hour operations across Western Visayas.

From the morning of September 15 to September 16, various police stations conducted 10 operations that led to the seizure of 311 grams of shabu and five grams of marijuana, and arrest of seven high-value targets and six street-level suspects.

Among the notable accomplishments were the operations carried out by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office. Five suspects were caught and approximately 115 grams of shabu were recovered.

For its part, the Iloilo City Police Office apprehended eight drug suspects in separate operations who yielded around 196 grams of shabu and five grams of marijuana.

PRO-6 director Brigadier General Josefino Ligan praised the dedication of the operating units and their commitment to eradicate illegal drugs in the region.

“These accomplishments show that PRO-6 remains steadfast in our campaign against illegal drugs. We will not waver in our duty to protect our communities from the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking. I commend the operating units for their dedication and assure the public that we will continue to intensify our operations,” Ligan added.
