PSA hits 2.2M national ID registrants in Iloilo

ILOILO – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has registered over 2.2 million individuals in Iloilo for the National Identification System, expanding its coverage through intensified efforts targeting children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and remote communities.

As of June 26, 2025, a total of 2,240,752 residents from Iloilo province and Iloilo City have successfully enrolled, including 31,694 children aged zero to four years, according to the PSA-Iloilo.

To improve accessibility, the PSA has deployed mobile registration teams to far-flung and island barangays, such as Barangay Granada in the northern Iloilo town of Carles where 295 residents were recently registered.

The agency is also conducting house-to-house registrations to accommodate seniors, PWDs, and individuals with mobility challenges — allowing them to register without leaving their homes.

“Our goal is to make the National ID registration inclusive and within reach for all sectors of society,” said PSA-Iloilo in a statement.

Aside from outreach activities, fixed registration centers remain operational at the PSA Iloilo Provincial Office on Iznart Street, Iloilo City and at SM City Iloilo, offering walk-in services for the general public.

The PSA continues to encourage unregistered residents to visit the nearest center or coordinate with barangay officials regarding mobile registration schedules.

The National ID is a crucial requirement for accessing government services, social protection programs, and financial transactions.
