ILOILO City – Classes in public schools start today.
The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) assures the public it is ready to ensure everyone’s safety.
“Law enforcement operations will be intensified to prevent the occurrence of crimes,” said Brigadier General Leo Francisco, the new PRO-6 director.
PRO-6 is maximizing the deployment of its personnel in identified strategic areas such as transport terminals, vicinities of schools and main thoroughfares.
“There will be police assistance desks, mobile, foot and detective patrollers,” Francisco added.
He stressed the importance of close coordination between the police, school authorities and local government units (LGU).
Barangay officials and watchmen, and other force multipliers will be utilized to assist the police in the maintenance of peace and order.
“They are our active partners and surely we can accomplish more as we collaborate. Rest assured that your police in the region is being proactive and committed to do its best to ensure that the opening of classes is orderly and peaceful,” Francisco stressed./PN
