MANILA – After her announcement to reveal her findings and observations on the government’s drug war, Vice President Leni Robredo has been urged to disclose all her recoveries during her 19-day stint as co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
“I urge her to open up,” Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Aaron Aquino said in a press conference on Thursday.
“Hindi kailangan itago. Kung ano ang discoveries na nakita niya whether it is good or bad for the administration,” Aquino added.
Robredo confirmed on Tuesday that she will divulge on Dec. 16 her discoveries from her time as the country’s antidrug czar.
Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Brigadier General Bernard Banac, for his part, said that Robredo’s impeding revelation may help the government effectively implement its anti-drugs initiatives.
“Ano mang ipapahayag ng ating Vice President Leni Robredo sa ikakabuti ng ating kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga ay welcome sa PNP. Inaasahan natin na magagamit natin ito para maging mas epektibo ang ating kampanya laban sa droga,” said Banac./PN
