ILOILO City – A sales lady lost valuables and money to a motorcycle thief in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district.

Mall employee Krissel Cordova, 23, was on her way home around 1 a.m. on Sunday when a motorcycle-driving man snatched her bag.

Cordova told the police her bag contained her cellular phone worth P17,800, P700 cash and identified card.

Mandurriao police chief, Chief Inspector Lea Rose Peña said Cordova failed to take a good look at the snatcher because he was wearing a helmet.

This was the second case in six days of snatching involving culprits driving motorcycles in this city.

On August 4, a motorcycle-driving man snatched a call center agent’s bag on Texas Street, Barangay Sampaguita.

According to Cerasy Luh Balayo Bigot of Barangay Santiago, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, her bag contained a mobile phone, an undetermined amount of money, automated teller machine cards and identification cards.

The snatcher was wearing a white t-shirt and a black jacket, Bigot told the police.

She failed to recognize the brand or type of motorcycle that the snatcher was driving.

After the snatching, the man drove toward Mabini Street, said Bigot./PN
