ILOILO City – Claiming to have stabbed his live-in partner, a 34-year-old man from Barangay San Jose, San Miguel, Iloilo was detained at the municipal police station.
Ivan Mahusay turned himself in on Tuesday, several hours after the incident late Monday evening.
Mahusay and Rocille Plenos, 40, had a heated argument on disciplining their children while on their way home at around 11 p.m. after drinking at a store, a police report showed.
Mahusay told the police he was already in bed and about to sleep but Plenos kept nagging him.
Irked, he grabbed a kitchen knife and thrust it in the latter’s stomach, Mahusay said.
Plenos was confined at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district, this city./PN
