ROXAS City – The head of the police station in Sapian, Capiz stressed that he consistently reminds his personnel to refrain from going to gambling areas.
Senior Inspector Hancel Lumandas on Monday said this after confirming that one of the police officers recently spotted in a cockpit in Iloilo City was from his station.
Lumandas added that Police Officer 1 Ryan Villareal was ordered to report to the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) in Camp Martin Delgado after the incident.
Villareal is assigned at the traffic management unit of the Sapian police station, said Lumandas.
Aside from Villareal, Senior Police Officer 1 Jose Roy Sandoval from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, Police Officer 3 Nilo Gallaron from the Regional Headquarters Support Group and Police Officer 1 Wilmar Sumpio from Iloilo City’s Police Station 3 were also summoned at the PRO-6 headquarters.
Lumandas said he always warns his personnel of possible criminal and administrative charges when they enter gambling areas.
“Indi naton kontrolado ang painoino sang mga police personnel. Amo nga libre sila maghimo sang ila gusto apisar nga bawal ini sa direktiba sang PNP (Philippine National Police),” Lumandas added./PN
