Senator Christopher “Bong” Go reiterated his uncompromising stance against corruption, declaring that those who steal from public funds must be charged and punished—regardless of position, affiliation, or family connections.
Speaking during a press conference at the Senate on October 16, Go made clear his support for a thorough and impartial investigation into the alleged anomalies.
He said, “Kasuhan natin ‘yung mga dapat kasuhan kahit kamag-anak ko. I’m willing to be the complainant kung talagang mayroon silang pagkukulang. Panagutin po natin ang dapat panagutin.”
He emphasized that accountability must apply to everyone, including those related or close to him.
“Kung may kasalanan sila, kasuhan sila, ako pa ang complainant,” he said. “Wala po akong pakialam. Gusto ko accountability.”
Go pointed out that the issue involves alleged anomalous and substandard infrastructure projects that must be investigated thoroughly.
“Tumbukin nyo po ‘yung dapat tumbukin. Hanapin nyo po ‘yung dapat hanapin, ‘yung talagang mga totoong buwaya, ‘yung mastermind talaga,” he stressed.
He underscored that his record as a public servant is built on integrity and delicadeza, emphasizing that he would not tolerate wrongdoing even from his own relatives.
“Uulitin ko lang po, kung may pagkakamali o pagkukulang man ang kamag-anak ko, ako po mismo ang magpapakaso at magpapakulong po sa kanila,” he said.
Go closed his statement with a strong call for justice and accountability. “Panagutin natin ang dapat managot dito. At iisa po tayo, ang ating layunin managot po ang dapat managot,” he declared.
