SOUTH Korean actor So Ji-sub is set to star in a new action series premiering on Netflix this June.

In the series titled “Mercy for None,” Ji-sub portrays Ki-jun, a former figure in the criminal underworld who walked away from that life 11 years ago. He is forced to return after the death of his brother — once the second-in-command of their organization — determined to uncover the truth behind the passing.

Netflix recently unveiled a teaser for the series, offering viewers a glimpse of Ki-jun’s pursuit of the truth behind his brother’s death, armed with his signature weapon: a baseball bat.

The streaming giant also dropped a teaser poster, showing Ki-jun standing alone in a blood-stained alley, surrounded by fallen enemies.

Ji-sub, 47, is known for dramas such as “Memories of Bali,” “Master’s Sun,” “Oh My Venus” and “My Secret Terrius.”

“Mercy for None” also stars Huh Joon-ho (from “Bloodhounds” and “Buried Hearts”), Gong Myung (“Be Melodramatic” and “Way Back Love”), Choo Young-woo (“The Tale of Lady Ok” and (“The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call”), Ahn Gil-kang (“Tale of the Nine Tailed” and “Dali & Cocky Prince”), Tiger Lee and Jo Han-chul (“Reborn Rich” and “Love Next Door”).

Cha Seung-won (“One Ordinary Day” and “Our Blues”) and Lee Jun-hyuk (“Vigilante” and “Love Scout”) are also set to make special appearances. (ABS-CBN News)
