ILOILO City – SM City Iloilo’s South Point transformed into Santa Claus’ Christmas Candyland on Saturday night, October 19, 2024.

The highlight of the evening was the lighting of a towering 60-foot Christmas tree, adorned with candy canes, shimmering red and silver Christmas balls, and a charming gingerbread house. This dazzling display captured the spirit of the season, becoming a symbol of joy and celebration for the people of Iloilo and the Western Visayas.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by captivating performances from the Kinaadman Choir and Ilonggo Singers. Their heartwarming melodies resonated throughout the venue, creating a warm and inviting ambiance for all in attendance.
The evening also featured a gift-giving of the SM Bears of Joy through the Tawag Project of Iloilo City Government’s Social Welfare and Development Office with indigent children as beneficiaries of teddy bears, and the highly anticipated premiere of Ilonggo balladeer Jose Mari Chan’s new SM Christmas jingle, which added an extra layer of holiday cheer to the event.
Families and friends were treated to a memorable experience that marked the beginning of the holiday season. Attendees mingled, shared laughter, and embraced the festive spirit, highlighting the community’s strong sense of togetherness.
As an added treat, the main casts of “Hello, Love, Again,” Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, came to meet and greet their Ilonggo fans.
