ILOILO – This province’s police force captured three high-profile fugitives in a series of successful operations on Wednesday, April 2, highlighting the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s (IPPO) ongoing efforts to rid communities of criminals and uphold justice.
Officers of the Calinog Municipal Police Station’s Tracker Team arrested three most wanted persons for rape in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Calinog town.
Alias “Ludi,” a senior citizen and the province’s fourth most wanted, was caught at 12:18 p.m. Shortly after at 1:37 p.m., police took into custody alias “Eli,” the third most wanted man in Western Visayas, who faces five counts of rape charges. Later in the afternoon at 4:56 p.m., police arrested alias “Joma.”
All three suspects are residents of Calinog, police said. They are currently under police custody, awaiting legal proceedings.
Police Colonel Bayani M. Razalan, IPPO director, lauded the Calinog police for their swift and strategic operations.
“This is a testament to the dedication and relentless efforts of our Ilonggo cops. Bringing these fugitives to justice not only holds criminals accountable but also ensures the safety of our communities,” Razalan said./PN
