ILOILO – Three people were injured in a road accident involving a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) and a truck in Barangay Cabugao Sur, Santa Barbara town on Thursday night, September 18.
According to Police Captain Raphy Señeres, chief of the Santa Barbara Municipal Police Station (MPS), the truck driven by alias “Manny” was about to make a U-turn when it hit the Suzuki Ertiga driven by alias “Paul”, at around 9 p.m.
Both vehicles were en route to Iloilo City when the accident occurred, Señeres said in a local radio station.
The MPV driver and his two companions sustained injuries in the different parts of their bodies. They were recuperating at the Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan town.
Manny, meanwhile, was unharmed. He was taken into custody by the Santa Barbara MPS for proper disposition./PN
