ILOILO City – A 25-year-old man lost thousands of pesos worth of gadgets and cash while staying in a dormitory at the Doña Aurora Subdivision in City Proper.

Joessel Florence Villasis believes a roommate he met in a ship cabin took his valuables, a police report showed.

Villasis, a native of Lapu-Lapu City, rents a room as a transient tenant at the GPI Dormitory along Ibarra Street in the subdivision.

At around 6 p.m. on April 19 Villasis found the following valuables missing: two mobile phones – Sony and Asus brands – worth P45,000 in total; a silver iPad tablet computer worth P20,000; and a gray wallet containing P5,000 cash, Professional Regulation Commission identification card, and BPI, Metrobank and Citibank automated teller machine cards.

All these were placed inside his bag, Villasis told the police.

Villasis identified his roommate as Sajid Abdullah D. Tomada. He said he met the latter at the Culit Cabin of a Cokaliong Shipping Line vessel.

The whereabouts of Tomada remained unknown as of this writing, the police report stated.

Investigators were still trying to look for him./PN
