ILOILO – The treasurer’s office of the municipality of Concepcion lost P490,000 to thieves.
The unidentified culprits gained entry by forcibly opening the sliding window of the office on July 19.
Not discounting the possibility of an inside job, the municipal chief of police, Senior Insp. Ferdinand Limbungan, ordered the investigation of all employees of the ransacked office.
The supposed fund was intended as aid for senior citizens of the town./PN
