Trending Capital: Flashback Friday

GOING back and reminiscing has and always will be a part of our growth. Usually, people remember the happiest and saddest moments in their lives because of the size of its impact or how it honed us to be the persons we are today.

For the present generation, going down memory lane is just one post or click away.

Netizens all over the world has invented the term “Throwback Thursday” to symbolize the posting of pictures, soundtracks and icons coming from the good ol’ days.

But since Throwback Thursday is limited to Thursdays only and that means waiting for the Thursday next week, netizens became more creative and coined the term “Flashback Friday” plus the added hashtag “#FBF.”

Flashback Friday has gotten to be on top of every netizens weekly schedule. During the said days, majority of social media users posts something funny because it reminds you of how old you are, or something heart-warming that even time can’t erase beautiful memories.

Flashback Friday is widely used in Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr, and was later on adapted and developed by Facebook.

Childhood pictures and more blasts from the past suddenly go out of a treasure box straight to everyone’s timeline, making viewers feel nostalgic.

Photos from the past are usually associated with the hashtag, “#FBF,” “#FlashbackFriday” or the simpler one, “#Flashback.”

By using these hashtags, one’s posts will be exposed to a much wider audience because of its generalized used words.

So, if you discovered something nostalgic from your pile of photo albums and other collections, don’t forget to use a hashtag “#Flashback Friday.” It will make your posts more catchy and trendier and would definitely let you gain more likes./PN
