AFTER dance crazes like “Teach Me How to Douggie,” “Gangnam Style,” and “Harlem Shake,” here comes another one which is now becoming popular and viral.
Jason Derulo’s “Wiggle” is the newest dance craze that everyone is raving about – with its hip tune and sexy steps.
“Wiggle” is the fourth single from Jason Derulo’s third US Studio album “Talk Dirty.” The single also features American rapper Snoop Dogg who added rhythm to the hippy melody of the song.
“Wiggle” is about a woman’s big fat butt. It is an upbeat hip-hop mixed with R&B song which is suited for “clubbing” moments.
The official music video of “Wiggle” was released on YouTube on May 21. Within more than a month from since its release, the single has sold over one million copies in the United States. The hip song even made it to the list of Billboard Hot 100, placing fifth on the rank.
With the song’s popularity, “Wiggle” is the trending dance craze as almost everyone – all sexes and ages has his own version on how to dance it.
A number of videos have been posted on various social media showing different people dancing “Wiggle.” Yet, there is one thing common to all of them-the waves and the shakes of their bodies, specifically of their butts every time the word “Wiggle” is mentioned in the song.
Even local celebrities here in the Philippines dance “Wiggle.” Most of them have already become viral on social media as they showed off their sexy moves to the tune of the song.
Considering the popularity that it earned, “Wiggle” is indeed phenomenal. It has set the trend and made people show their sexy sides by just shaking their butts and waving their bodies./PN
