BACOLOD City — A tricycle collided with a bus in Sitio Alimango, Barangay San Vicente, Binalbagan town, killing its driver.
Senior Inspector Albert Sy, Binalbagan police chief, identified the victim as Rocky Labaniero Banay of Barangay Oringao, Kabankalan City.
Sy said Banay was on his way to Hinigaran town while the bus was heading to Kabankalan City.
Banay attempted to overtake another vehicle but collided with the bus. He died on the spot, Sy said.
The police found a suicide note in the victim’s pocket and they suspected that it was written months ago.
The police are not sure if it really was Banay’s handwriting.
Sy said he cannot disclose the contents of the letter.
