ILOILO – Police arrested two drug suspects and confiscated around P476,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation on Rizal Street, P. Ledesma Ward, Pototan town on Thursday night, September 4.
The suspects were identified as aliases “Pingpong,” 47, a resident of Rizal Street, and classified as a high-value target, and “Junjun,” 30, from Barangay Pajo, Lambunao, Iloilo, a street-level individual.
Joint operatives of the Pototan Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit caught the suspects at around 7:04 p.m. after they sold a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Authorities seized a total of one big and five small plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 70 grams and non-drug-related items.
The suspects were detained at the Pototan MPS, facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
