ILOILO City – No fabricated and self-serving political surveys can overshadow the undeniable reality on the ground. Over 35,000 active barangay Uswag leaders, barangay and SK officials, and the well-established Blue Angels are at the forefront, leading and inspiring the majority of Ilonggos to unite behind Inday Raisa Treñas, Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, and the entire councilorables of Team Uswag.
The powerhouse Team Uswag along with Uswag Ilonggo party-list led by Cong. James “Jojo” Ang, poised for a landslide victory in the upcoming elections, enjoys overwhelming support from 170 barangay captains; 30,000 barangay Uswag leaders; 5,000 Blue Angels; and various sectors such as youth, LGBTQ+ community, vendors, urban poor, transport groups and among others.
Adding to this formidable backing are the significant endorsements of Iloilo’s respected leaders such as former senator Franklin Drilon, Iloilo governor Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr., and former governor Arthur Defensor Sr.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, the visionary leader behind Team Uswag, whose exceptional leadership has propelled Iloilo City toward progress, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support of the Ilonggos.
Joining the team on the ground, Mayor Treñas personally witnessed the warm and enthusiastic backing during barangay rallies and meetings.
“I am truly happy because this is exactly what I envision: for all our beloved constituents to unite as one and move forward together, sharing a common direction and vision to uphold and continue the legacy of progress and development for our city (Nalipay gid ako kay amo guid ni ang akon handum — nga ang tanan naton nga palangga nga pumoluyo maghiliusa bilang isa kag magpadayon sa isa ka direksyon kag handom nga mapadayon ang kauswagan sang aton syudad),” Treñas passionately declared.
Inday Raisa Treñas, on her part, is also grateful for the warm reception of the Ilonggos during Team Uswag’s visits to all barangays.
In every household, barangay, and district they reached, Inday Raisa conveyed her deep appreciation for the warm welcome and support shown by every Ilonggo family.
“Nagapasalamat guid ako sa inyo nga tanan, sa pagbukas sang inyo panimalay, barangay kag distrito sa akon kag sa Team Uswag. Nagapadayon kami sa paglibot agud ipabati kag ipalapnag ang amon sinsero nga handum para sa mas bag-o, mas masanag, kag mas maayo nga Iloilo City. Ginapasalig ko nga may mas mahimo pa guid kita para sa aton syudad,” said Inday Raisa.
She also called on all Ilonggos to show their valuable support by voting straight for the entire Team Uswag slate. She assured that her leadership, alongside Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon and the dedicated councilors — Sedfrey Cabaluna, Alan Zaldivar, Romel Duron, Nene Dela Llana, Rex Sarabia, Miguel Treñas, Lyndon Acap, Rudolph Ganzon, Sheila Olid, Mandrie Malabor, Frances Grace Parcon, and Johnny Young — will steadfastly champion the continued progress of Iloilo City.

Inday Raisa unveiled her RISE TO ACTION Platforms, presenting concrete solutions designed to sustain development. These include:

* Enhanced community protection with safer public spaces and intelligent traffic systems.
* Vibrant tourism and cultural preservation.
* Economic empowerment through MSME support and livelihood programs.
* Improved health and nutrition services with mega health centers and mental health facilities.
* Nature-based resilience through disaster preparedness and recovery initiatives.
In the final days of the campaign, Inday Raisa, Vice Mayor Ganzon, and Team Uswag will continue their relentless efforts to raise awareness of their platforms and deliver swift services to the Ilonggos.
Team Uswag is also gearing up for a second grand rally next week. During the “Padayon sa Kauswagan” kick-off rally on March 28, over 40,000 supporters from just four districts of the city filled the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand benches and the long stretch of Muelle Loney to show their unwavering support.
