KALIBO, Aklan – A water refilling station owner was shot by an unidentified gunman on Feb. 2 around 7:40 p.m. in Barangay Estancia.
Eduard Alvarez, 50, sustained a gunshot wound on the abdomen and right shoulder. He was taken to the hospital where he expired.
The gunman supposedly declared a holdup and told Alvarez to get down on the floor. But he shot the businessman twice.
The gunman fled. He boarded a waiting motorcycle outside the water refilling station.
The motorcycle proceeded to the direction of Banga town.
Policemen were baffled. No money or items were taken from the water refilling station.
The gunman was wearing a black facemask and stood at five feet and two inches tall./PN
