BACOLOD City – A 65-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her live-in partner in Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Camang-Camang, Isabela, Negros Occidental around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17.
The victim, Digna Bordago, a laborer, was said to have been attacked by Fredo Camacho, of legal age, both residents of Sitio Mantabanon of the said barangay .
Police investigation revealed that Bordago was clearing off the grass in a sugarcane plantation when her live-in partner appeared.
For an unknown reason, the victim was stabbed by the suspect in her upper right chest using a sharp-bladed weapon that resulted in her immediate death, police said.
The suspect then fled.
Isabela police believed Camacho was drunk when the stabbing happened and have yet to determine the suspect’s motive./PN
