ILOILO City – In Barangay Calao, Dumangas, Iloilo, a 67-year-old resident was arrested.
An unlicensed firearm and ammunition were seized from the house of Ramonito Brito, a police report showed.
Brito was detained in the Dumangas police station custodial facility.
Police officers armed with a search warrant swooped down on his house at around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
They recovered a .45 pistol, two magazines for a .45 pistol, 12 live cartridges for a .45 pistol, and a black holster, the police report showed.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act may be filed against Brito./PN
