The family of Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo is asking for the whole country to pray for the success of their daughter.
According to Rabiya’s uncle Miguel Occeña Mateo Jr., this is a time for all Filipinos to come together and pray for the success of her niece.
He also asked for everyone’s support amidst Rabiya’s several bashers and critiques.
“Ang message ko sa mga bashers kag sa tanan-tanan gid nga sa time subong siguro indi anay kita magsubong sina. Didto ta anay mag-focus sa competition. Mag-pray kita tanan amo na anay ang pinaka-the best. Prayers,” Miguel said.
He believes that her niece will win, saying that she has prepared for this.
“Ang message ko kay Rabiya, sa hinablos ko good luck sa imo journey. Tani magdaog kag makuha mo ang crown sa Miss Universe. And, whatever happens mahal na mahal ka namin. And ofcourse hopefully will see you later.”
He added that Rabiya’s victory would be a gift to Filipinos, and would bring them happiness especially in the COVID-19 pandemic./PN
