ILOILO City – A one-year-old boy was killed in a fire that gutted their house in Barangay Igpuro-Bariri, Miag-ao, Iloilo.
He was identified as resident Ryan Andaya, a police report showed.
Initial investigation showed the fire broke out at around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 28.
Ryan was reportedly trapped in their house and died before he could be rescued.
According to police investigation, the victim had been left at home by his mother who attended a meeting at the barangay hall.
From what the Bureau of Fire and Protection gathered so far, an electrical short circuit caused by an unattended could have started the blaze./PN
