BACOLOD City – Ten residents of Silay City, Negros Occidental face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling.
Police caught them playing bug-oy (seashells game) in Barangay 2 on Saturday afternoon.
A police report showed 16 pieces of gastropod seashells and P1,980 bet money were recovered from Angelito Catanghal, Romeo Mercado, Keren Dence, and Ritchie Oro.
The other suspects were Ronald Absalon, Carlos Hanaya, Ronie Desales Jr., Janil Abellar, Antonio Amora, and June Pepito.
