10 drug suspects arrested in weeklong BCPO anti-crime drive

BACOLOD City — The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) arrested 10 individuals involved in illegal drug activities and seized approximately P344,760 worth of suspected shabu during a weeklong anti-crime operation in Bacolod City.

BCPO records showed that from July 6 to 12, 2026, police conducted 10 buy-bust operations, resulting in the confiscation of 50.7 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P344,760.

All the suspects have been charged with violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

During the same period, police also arrested 10 individuals with standing warrants of arrest.

As part of its campaign against loose firearms under the Philippine National Police’s Oplan Katok program, the BCPO reported the voluntary surrender of six firearms.

Police likewise carried out one anti-illegal gambling operation for violations of Presidential Decree Nos. 1602 and 449, leading to the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation of P250 in bet money.

Appropriate charges have been filed against the offenders.

BCPO Director Col. Eugene Rebadomia commended all police units for intensifying the campaign against all forms of criminality within their respective areas of responsibility./PN
