BACOLOD City – Some 150 partners of the Energy Development Corp. are expected to attend the second anniversary of the 10 Million Trees in 10 Years for a Greener Negros (10M in 10) Movement.
The celebration will be held at the MassKara Hall in the Bacolod City Government Center today.
The 10M in 10 Movement is the biggest forest restoration campaign in Negros Island.
The movement, with this year’s theme “Growth through Partnerships,” wants to highlight the “power of collaboration” between and among partners to achieve its mission.
Representatives from government agencies, local government units, academic institutions, business sector, media, nongovernment organizations, and others will attend the event.
The event’s highlight is the recognition of the 10M in 10 Movement partners who planted more than 10,000 trees this year.
The movement has three goals: to help protect and restore watersheds, to improve the biodiversity and to build resilient communities in Negros Island in the next 10 years./PN
