BACOLOD City – Thirteen individuals were caught engaging in illegal cockfighting in Barangay Calumangan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
They were Crispino Quillain, Rico Bilbao, Jose Taryao Jr., Patrick Paul Palma, Mariano Pirote, Gerardo Tome, Jilbert Recto, Noel Relota, Ruben Bewiin, Levy John Tanio, Danilo Velasco, Cristine Quillain, and Manuel Palmares.
Police caught the suspects around 11 a.m. on Dec. 3.
Confiscated from their possession were eight dead game fowls, four live fighting cocks, several gaffs, P10,060 bet money, and cockfighting paraphernalia.
The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of the Bago City police station, facing charges./PN
