18 towns in the province of Antique listed active cases of COVID-19

ANTIQUE – All 18 towns in the province of Antique listed 859 active cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), as of January 20, 2022.

Here are the listed breakdowns of the said active cases per town:

San Jose (343), Sibalom (97), Hamtic (92), Bugasong (62), Belison (36), Culasi (35), Tibiao (33), Valderrama (31), San Remegio (27), Patnongon (21), Laua-an (18), Pandan (18), Barbaza (11), Tobias Fornier (11), Caluya (10), Libertad (six), Anini-y (five), and Sebaste (three).

COVID-19 is still increasing in the province, because of this the Provincial Health Officer 1, Dr. Lencio Abiera reminds everyone to be vigilant especially the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) to be alert to monitor their barangay.

“Sa pagduro pa guid kang COVID-19 cases sa atun probinsiya, ang inyo nga Antique Provincial Health Office kaimaw ang atun nga mga Rural Health Units kag Barangay Health Emergency and Response Teams (BHERTs) nagapanawagan nga mangin alerto sa mga nagakaratabo sa inyo tagsa-tagsa ka mga kabarangayan,” Abiera said.

Abiera also reminds the people in Antique if they have symptoms like sore throat, cough, colds, and fever to isolate and inform the RHUs to prevent the spread of the virus.

“Palihog ���������-isolate ka inyo kaugalingun kag makipag-angut sa inyo tagsa-tagsa ka Rural Health Units ukon BHERTs. Sa amo dya nga pamaagi, masiguro natun nga ma hagan-hagan ang pagrapta kang virus sa palibot,” Abiera added.

Abiera, encourage unvaccinated Antiqueños to inform their barangay officials and BHERTs to be listed and schedule for vaccination. She also explained that if everyone gets vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines, they will get extra protection and minimize the severe infection in case infected. /PN
