ILOILO – After eight years of hiding, two cousins charged with frustrated murder were finally arrested.
The 28-year-old Generoso Basa and 36-year-old cousin Edison Basa were detained at the police station of Concepcion town yesterday. They were arrested in Barangay Tambalisa, Concepcion.
The police arrested the cousins around 12:30 p.m. in their respective houses.
Their arrest warrants were issued by Judge Antonio Gerardo Amular of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 66.
The Basas were charged with frustrated murder in 2008 and they disappeared from their village.
Recently, the police got a tip that the cousins returned to their village./PN
