ILOILO City – Two persons were arrested after they allegedly tried to disarm a police officer in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district.
They were identified as Pablo Sido and Danilo Paderes, a police report showed.
According to police investigation, Sido and Paderes were having a drinking spree at a restaurant in the said barangay when a heated argument ensued between the suspects and Patrolman Friday Jess.
The suspects allegedly ran amuck and tried to disarm Navigar.
The responding policemen, however, arrived and they were able to arrest Sido and Paderes, while their two other companions managed to flee.
Navigar was brought to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district for treatment.
Sido was also brought to the West Visayas State University Hospital in Lapaz district after sustaining bruises on the body. He is under the watch of the Mandurriao police station./PN
