ILOILO City – Two residents of Molo district were accused of training a firearm on a tanod commander from Barangay Infante.
The tanod commander, Joel Kilayko, reported to the police that Elmark Palma, 21, of Infanteand Samuel Estores, 24, of Barrio Cochero threatened to shoot him.
Palma and Estores got mad and left when Kilayko, 36, and a fellow tanod reprimanded them for being drunk and unruly, the tanod commander told the police.
Minutes later, while Kilayko was walking to the Infante barangay tanod outpost, he saw Palma and Estores waiting for him.
“Ara na sia, ara na sia, birahi na,” Kilayko quoted Palma as telling Estores.
Estores then drew out a gun of unidentified caliber from his waist and trained it on the tanod commander, a police report stated.
Kilayko scampered for safety and sought help from fellow tanods.
The incident happened at around 11:45 p.m. on Feb. 14. Police were still trying to determine the whereabouts of the two locals as of this writing./PN
