BACOLOD City – Two suspected members of the Epogon robbery group were arrested on Magtolis Street, Barangay 3, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the suspects as brothers Francisco Epogon, 29, and Ruel, 25.
Armed with an arrest warrant, joint forces of the Sipalay City police station and 604th Regional Mobile Force Battalion apprehended the Epogons around 3 p.m. on March 9.
Judge Rosario Ester Ordas-Caise of the Regional Trial Court Brach 61 in Kabankalan City issued the warrant dated April 10, 2018 in relation to theft charges the suspects face.
Seized from Epogons were a .45-caliber pistol loaded with 20 live bullets; five live bullets of a .22- caliber gun and a short steel magazine of an M16 rifle.
The two suspects were detained in the lockup cell of the Sipalay City police station./PN
