CATHERINE Parochial School (SCPS) captured two titles in the volleyball event of the Iloilo Private Schools Educators Association (IPSEA) Sports Meet at the Iloilo Sports Complex in Iloilo City.
Based in Leon, Iloilo, the SCPS captured its fifth consecutive title in secondary girls event by defeating Queen of Heaven Mission School of Tigbauan town in the finals on Jan. 14.
The secondary girls team comprised Jamela Capenanes, Krystl Lou Capilastique, Angelline Cabalo, Jean Pascua, Shaina Cabitlada, Jemima Camit, Marianne Calapaan, Methuselah Cabinos, Kyla Cabunoc, Johanna Canata, and Zas Calanuga.
The SCPS also took home the elementary girls title in the IPSEA Sports Meet, which was now on its fifth year, after a straight-set finals victory over Iloilo City’s St. Vincent Ferrer Parochial School.
Composing the elementary girls team were Dea Jane Canaya, Chazzie Roxas, Mariae Jasmiene Gaboc, Sophia Parcon, Raphaella Tambirao, Nichole Angela Calanda, Breanne dela Cruz, Isabella Dolar, and Arielle Tenga.
The SCPS failed to sweep the tournament’s volleyball event after placing only second in secondary boys. Pototan Integross defeated the school’s team in the finals./PN
