2024 NURSING BOARD EXAM; Western Visayas produces four topnotchers, two schools achieve 100% passing rate

ILOILO City – Western Visayas has once again proven its excellence in the field of nursing education, producing four topnotchers and two schools achieving a 100% passing rate in the November 2024 Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam (PNLE).

West Visayas State University – College of Nursing (WVSU-CON) sustained its streak of excellence, marking its fifth consecutive year with a perfect passing rate. All 108 examinees from Batch Zephyr passed the exam, with four of its graduates securing spots in the Top 10:

* Ma. Irish Himan Silvestre – 8th place (91%)

* Robert Matthew Manzon Opong – 9th place (90.8%)

* Karen Joy Sobusa Oscares – 9th place (90.8%)

* Richard Dahuyag Olano Jr. – 10th place (90.6%)

WVSU-CON celebrated the milestone, declaring, “Your dedication, excellence, and unwavering commitment have once again proven that Basta Taga-West, The Best!”

St. Paul University Iloilo (SPUI) also achieved a 100% passing rate, with all 110 examinees successfully passing the licensure exam.

In a statement, SPUI expressed pride in their achievement, saying, “Indeed, it’s a great day for all the Paulinians! To God be the greater glory.”

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results on November 29, revealing a nationwide passing rate of 84.99%.

Out of 34,527 examinees, 29,349 passed the rigorous two-day exam held on November 9 and 10./PN
