CAPIZ – A total of 28 quarry operators in this province have been apprehended for the whole month of January 2022 alone.
Based on the Capiz Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (CaPENRO) – Regulatory Services Unit Task Force Kabalaka 6K, 21 of the quarry violators were apprehended for showing no delivery receipts while the other seven quarry violators for showing no permit.
These are a violation of the Revised Revenue Code of the Province of Capiz, CaPENRO said.
The Code provides that the delivery receipts should be presented upon demand for inspection by the deputies or duly authorized representatives of the Governor.
Failure to present said receipts shall constitute a prohibited act under Section 2O.01 and penalized under Section 2O.02.
The Inter-Agency Task Force Kabalaka 6K, which carrying the operations against illegal quarry opeatiors stands for Kasubaan, Kabukiran, Kakahoyan, Kadagatan, Katinlo, and Katunggan, is mandated to enforce environmental protection within the jurisdiction of Capiz./PN
