ILOILO – Three young swimmers from Pototan National Comprehensive High School (PNCHS) are set to represent Western Visayas at the Batang Pinoy 2025 National Finals in General Santos City from October 25 to 31.
Frenz Enrique Pasadilla, Jan Renier Pasadilla, and John Merck Millan will proudly carry the banner of Iloilo Province as they compete against the country’s top young athletes under the guidance of their coach, Doren Ducthilla, and trainer, Rho Ducthilla.
The annual grassroots sports tournament has drawn a record 19,700 athletes from 191 local government units, competing in 27 sports disciplines, including swimming, archery, athletics, badminton, basketball (3×3), boxing, chess, cycling, dancesport, futsal, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, judo, kickboxing, karate, muay thai, pencak silat, sepak takraw, soft tennis, tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, and wushu.
Pasig City is aiming to defend its overall championship title with 675 athletes supported by 162 coaches and 34 officials and support staff./PN
